The region of Almería is one of the most unspoilt areas in the south of Spain. Here you can enjoy the sunniest part of Europe, with more than 320 days of sunshine each year. The Casa Cueva Calatrava is an ideal starting point to get to know this semi-desert landscape, and to explore the many beaches, charming villages and the main city of Almería. 

How to get there

Casa Cueva Calatrava is within easy reach from Almería airport, only 15 minutes away. Budget airlines fly from many UK airports and include: Easyjet, Ryanair, Monarch and Jet2.

We recommend that you rent a car, this way you have  the freedom to explore the area. There are a variety of car hire companies at Almería airport. Taxis are also available at the airport.

 Road Access

Casa Cueva Calatrava is located in Tabernas, 30 kilometres from Almería city, at an altitude of 404 metres. Tabernas has 3500 inhabitants, and it is located in the protected Natural Park called TABERNAS DESERT, a desert landscape popular with film makers where Lawrence of Arabia, Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade, 2001 - a Space Odyssey, and the Clint Eastwood classics A Fistful of Dollars, A Few Dollars More and The Good the Bad and the Ugly were filmed.
